right now right here

coldplay .. wooo .. nice songs

I swam across; I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
'Cos you were all yellow
...
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

the singer reminds me of my friend :) ..

so the story goes

Coding these days have become horribly boring. Its same shit different day (SSDD).
I dont have a good company for coding .. my teammate (with whom i coded for last phase of project) left the company and joined sap. There it seems one person cant enter into anothers cabin without having previous appointment .. thats good, and they have chicken 3 days a week ..drool. For various reasons im more interested in algorithms, compilers .. etc. So
i might start posting a topic on algorithms soon.

my work day

colleague: hey .. the program is running but not stopping
me: there should be some infinite loop in your code

he goes and comes later

him: hey .. i found out the problem .. its the while loop.. so i changed all while to if .. that should be okay .. isnt it?
me: WTF???

so long

so many things happened between these months..

current interests

python - sad to hear Guido is thinking of static typing, as if his first post was not enough, he started his second discussing generic types (aww!!) etc... see his post. Nowadays i write more in python, i write all the interesting stuff coming in my work in python and try to translate it in java.. (i wrote an object-xml marshaller/unmarshaller, and an expression evaluator for different types(entities in db) using postfix notation). Python is more easy... i cant imagine what will happen if a static type system comes.. and will the python developers be willing to write such a framework??

whew .. john carmack has started blogging(goodbye webdog). you can find it here

i was going through larry osterman's blog and found out something like processor makers have hit the limit .. so we cant just assume that our slow software will run faster in future machines.. now if this comes true, it will have great affect on games.. which made me think like in future will there be some one or two optimiized engines (like os's now) and people will really start building of games from that as applications! .. but my friend made me think of nanotechnology and sort of stuff.. and reminded me of my death (i wont be seeing most of it) .. :) by the way there was something called quantum computing .. and what happened to that (last i heard its impossible)???
